Collagen-stimulating fillers are exactly how they sound! Once injected, they work to stimulate collagen production under the skin. Collagen is a protein that is produced naturally by the body to maintain smoothness of the skin. As we age, our natural collagen production slows down. Some result is immediate following treatment, but optimal results will begin to appear a few months post-procedure as collagen production occurs. Collagen-stimulating fillers also differ from HA fillers by lasting much longer, typically around 5 years.
